The correct option is B 3, 4 Let l be the number of lotus flower and b be the number of bees.
⇒ If one bee lands on each flower, one bee will be left.
⇒ Then, b=l+1 ----- ( 1 )
⇒ If two bees land on each flower, one flower will be left.
⇒ Then, b2=l−1 ---- ( 2 )
∴ By solving equation (1) and (2) we get, l=3 and b=4
∴ The number of flowers and bees respectively are 3 and 4.
