Given, range of efflux from both the holes are same.
$\Rightarrow R_1=R_2$
$\Rightarrow 2\sqrt{h_1(H-h_1)}=2\sqrt{h_2(H-h_2)}$
$\Rightarrow h_{1}H-h_1^2=h_{2}H-h_2^2$
$\Rightarrow h_{1}H-h_{2}H=h_1^2-h_2^2$
$\Rightarrow H(h_1-h_2)=(h_1+h_2)(h_1-h_2)$
$\Rightarrow H=(h_1+h_2)$
