as the side of the square field is $44$ let length of flower bed is $x$. area of flower bed is $x^2$ . area of graveling is ${44}^2-x^2=1936-x^2$. Cost of flowering is $x^2\ast 2.75=2.75x^2$ . cost of graveling is $1.5\times (1936-x^2)$. Total cost $2904+1.25x^2=4904$ . hence $x=40$

width of gravel path is $\frac{(44-40)}{2}=2$

Hence Option B is correct
