Solution

The correct option is B failure of the Third Five-Year Plan

Fourth Five Year Plan was introduced in the year 1969. The aim was to achieve annual growth of 5 per cent in agriculture. However, there was a planned holiday of 3 years from 1966 to 1969. The main reason for this holiday was the Indo-Pakistan war and the failure of the Third Five Year Plan. This shackled the economy and also caused famine.

Thus, the correct answer is B.
