Thimappa Nayak was the Telugu ruler of Thanjavur principality of Tamil Nadu in the 16th and 17th centuries. Sevappa was the successor of Vira Narasingaraya, also known as Sellappa. His father was a Thimappa Nayak, also called Thimmabhupathi.
