a) Methylated spirit is denatured alcohol which is made unfit for drinking by adding methanol, isopropyl alcohol, pyridine, copper sulphate etc.It is used for industrial purpose.

b) When ethanoic acid react with propan-1-ol it results in the formation of ester.
${CH}_{3} {COOH + CH}_{3} {CH}_{2} {CH}_{2} OH \overset{H_{2} {SO}_{4}}{\to} {CH}_{3} {CH}_{2} {CH}_{2} OOC {CH}_{3} {+ H}_{2} O$
