It is given that, three bells ring at intervals of 2 minutes, 3 minutes and 4 minutes respectively.
To find out how much time will the bells ring altogether we need to find the lowest common multiple of 2, 3 and 4.
Multiples of 2: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14.....
Multiples of 3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18....
Multiples of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16....
LCM of 2, 3 and 4 is 12
Therefore, after 12 minutes the bells will ring altogether.
