Here, assuming two charges of same magnitude +q are placed at the vertex B of the triangle.


From formula, dipole moment p is
p=q(2l)

Now from figure,

p1=p2=p=qd

Angle between p1 and p2,

θ=60

So, net electric dipole of the pair of dipoles,

pnet=p21+p22+2p1p2cosθ

pnet=(qd)2+(qd)2+2(qd)2×cos60

pnet=3qd

Hence, option (b) is correct.
