Three functions of a supervisor:

1. Issuing orders and instructions: The supervisor issues orders and instructions for the execution of work.
2. Motivating workers: Inspiring workers towards better work performance. Supervisor creates enthusiasm and team spirit amongst the workers.
3. Guiding workers: Supervisor guides and advises his workers.
