To carry out the so-called electrolysis of water, sulphuric acid is added to water. How does the addition of sulphuric acid produce a conducting solution ?

When sulphuric acid is added to water, water molecules get dissociated into H+ and OH ions which conducts electricity. That's how addition of sulphuric acid to water make it a conduction solution.
