Solution
The correct option is C I, II and III Xylem is the water conducting tissue in vascular plants. There are two kinds of cells take up the process- tracheids and vessel elements. The vessel elements are the building blocks of vessels, which constitute the major part of the water transporting system in the plants in which they occur. Vessels form an efficient system for transporting water (including necessary minerals) from the root to the leaves and other parts of the plant. While the presence of vessels in Xylem was considered a key differentiating factor of flowering plants, this has been found in Gnetales and vessel-like cells are also found in the xylem of Equisetum, Selaginella, and aquatic ferns. Whereas vascular system is absent in bryophytes.
