Acceleration (a) = $2 \frac{m}{s^{2}}$
Initial velocity (u) = $10 \frac{m}{s}$
Final velocity (v) = $24 \frac{m}{s}$
Step 2:- Formula,
$a c c e l e r a t i o n = \frac{(f i n a l v e l o c i t y - i n i t i a l v e l o c i t y)}{t i m e} \Rightarrow a = \frac{(v - u)}{t}$
Step 3:- To find time for travel,
$\Rightarrow a = \frac{(v - u)}{t} \Rightarrow 2 = \frac{(24 - 10)}{t} \Rightarrow t = \frac{14}{2} \Rightarrow t = 7 s e c o n d s$
Thus, the time required by the bus to change its velocity is $7 s e c o n d s$ .
