1) The symmetric compound will always have a zero dipole moment. Eg: CCl​4 , F2 ,CO2 etc.
2) The most unsymmetric compound will have maximum dipole moment. Eg: CH3Cl, H2O, NH3 etc..
3) The compound in which the electronengative elements are opposite to each other will cancel the dipoles on their own to give a minimum dipole moment. Eg: NO, CO etc.
