We know that opposite sides of parallelogram are equal and opposite

So, $5x+7x+5x+7x=24x$ [Perimeter]

Given, $24x=72$

$x=3$

Hence length of sides of parallelogram are $5\times 3$ and $7\times 3$ or $15$ cm and $21$ cm.
