Given,
m1=3 kg;m2=5 kg
u1=5 m/s;u2=3 m/s, v2=2 m/s
Let velocity of m1 after collision v1=v m/s
(taking rightward +ve)

Using PCLM,
m1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2
3(5)+5(3)=3(v)+5(2)
v=103 m/s

Therefore, cofficient of restitution
e = v2v1u1u2=2+1035+3=23
