FBD's of blocks

For block A,
mAgT=mAa
7gT=7a(1)
For block B,
TmBg=mBa
T=3g+3a(2)

From (1) and (2), we have
7g(3g+3a)=7a
4g=3a+7a=10a
a=4 m/s2
Now, acceleration of COM
acom=mAa+mBamA+mB=7×(4)+3×(4)10
acom=1610=1.6 m/s2
Magnitude, acom=1.6 m/s2
