The correct option is C $$3$$
Resultant force on both of them must be same.
For the body of mass $$36gram$$
     $${ F }_{ \left( Net \right)  }=36\times 10-36\cfrac { { \rho  }_{ w } }{ 9 } \times 10=36\times 10\left[ \cfrac { 8 }{ 9 }  \right] =320N\\ 320=480-\cfrac { 48\times 1\times 10 }{ \rho  } \\ \cfrac { 480 }{ \rho  } =160\\ \rho =\cfrac { 480 }{ 160 } =3$$
