Two friends Harry and Larry who are very fond of Indian cuisine went to Hotel A for having lunch. Harry and Larry had 3 and 5 rotis respectively. For dinner, they went to Hotel B where the size of the roti was relatively small. Assuming that they have the same amount of hunger as before and Larry ate 10 rotis, how many rotis did Harry ate?
6
Let rotis eaten by Harry for dinner be x.
If they have the same amount of hunger, the ratio of rotis eaten by them will remain same in both the hotels.
Hence, 35=x10
⇒x=(10×3)5
⇒x=6
So, Harry ate 6 rotis.
