Two ice blocks of 10g each are placed in 2L distilled water at 273K. One of the ice blocks is made up of sea water and other one is made up of distilled water. What will you observe if the ambient temperature is also 273K? Give reasons to support your observation.

Two ice blocks of 10g each are placed in 2L of distilled water at 273K from them one of the ice block is made up of sea water and other one is made up of distilled water. If the ambient temperature is 273K.

(i) Then after some time one iceblock will disappear & the other one remains intact.

(ii) The ice block which is made up of sea water will melt because of lowering of the melting point due to presence of dissolved salts.
