The correct option is C The potential difference between the free plates is 2V.
The charge present on the free plates cannot be changed as they are isolated (law of conservation of energy).
As the the charge presents on free plates cannot be changed the charge present on the internal plates remain same.
E inside conductors are zero therefore q enclosed must be 0. Hence same negative charge exist on other plate.
Thus as charge distribution does not change voltage drop across each capacitor remains same.
Total voltage difference = 2V
