Since, both heater wires are identical. So, resistance of each wire is R. When they are connected in series, then total resistance :

Rs=R+R=2R
Heat produced, H1=V2t2R ....ii
When they are connected in parallel then
Rp=R2
Heat produced H2=2V2tR ...(ii)
From (i) and (ii)
H1H2=14
