Inductors connected in series

  1. When two inductors are connected in series, the resultant inductance becomes the sum of the inductance of the inductors.
  2. The resultant inductance does not depend upon the direction of the magnetic flux.
  3. Calculation of the resultant induction

LR=L1+L2

Here, LR is the resultant inductance, L1 and L2 are the inductance of the respective inductors.

LR=L+LLR=2L
