Two Metallic resistors are connected first in series and then in parallel across a d c supply. Plot of I-V graph is shown for the two cases. Which one represents a parallel combination of the resistors and why?

Line A represents the parallel combination.
Reason: At a given potential difference V,current in the combination A
Is more than in the combination B.
i.e., $l_{A} > l_{B}$
Since $R_{A} = \frac{V}{l_{A}}$ and $R_{B} = \frac{V}{l_{B}}$
$\Rightarrow R_{A} < R_{B}$
