Two number are in the ratio of 5 is to 3.if they differ for 18 what are the numbers. Sir /Madam can you pls answer fast.

Let the two numbers be 5x and 3x. (Since ratio is 5:3)

Given: Their difference is 18
=> 5x - 3x = 18
=> 2x=18
=> x = 9
First number = 5x = 5*9 = 45
Second number = 3x = 3*9=27


Hence the numbers are : 45 and 27.
