y1=asinωt and y2=asin(ωt+ϕ)
y2y1=a2=asin(ωt+ϕ)asinωt
or
2a=2acos(ωt+ϕ+ωt2)sin(ωt+ϕωt2)
=2acos(ωt+ϕ2)sinϕ2
For maximum value, cos(ωt+ϕ/2)=1
2sinϕ2=2 or sinϕ2=12
