Two resistors of resistances 13ohm and 12ohm are connected in series with a 5 volt battery . What is the potential difference across the 12ohm resistor??

The two resistors are in series which means, the total resistance is 25 ohm

Using ohm's law
$$\begin{gathered} \frac{V}{R}=I \\ I=\frac{5}{25} \\ I=0.2\mathrm{A} \end{gathered}$$
Potential across 12 ohm resistance is
$$\begin{gathered} =IR \\ =(0.2)\times 12 \\ =2.4\mathrm{V} \end{gathered}$$
