Total pressure of C, PC=P1+P2

KP1=x=PBPC.....(1)

x=P1(P1+P2)

KP2=y=PCPE.....(2)

y=(P1+P2)(P2)

Adding (1) and (2)
x+y=(P1+P2)2

Now total pressure
PT=PC+PB+PE

=(P1+P2)+P1+P2=2(P1+P2)

PT=2(x+y).
