The correct option is A ρ1=6 and ρ2=2
As we know,
Density=Total MassTotal volume=MV

and Mass=Volume×Density

When both substances are mixed in equal volume,
ρ=m1+m2v1+v2
4=ρ1V+ρ2V2V
ρ1+ρ2=8 ... (i)

When both substances are mixed in equal masses:-
ρ=m1+m2v1+v2
3=m+m(m/ρ1)+(m/ρ2)
ρ1ρ2ρ1+ρ2=32 ... (ii)
Solving these two equations, we get ρ1=6 and ρ2=2
