Two super imposing wave have equation y1=2sin2π(10t-0.4x) and
Y2=4sin2π (20t-0.8x). What is ratio of iMax:I min.

Two waves superimpose when their frequencies are equal so taking 2 common from equation 2 we get
Y2=8sin2π (10t-0.4x).
now a1=2
​​​​​​a2=8
imax=(a1+a2)^2=(8+2)^2=100
​​​​​​i min=(a1-a2)^2=(2-8)^2=36
i max/i min=100/36=25:9
