Solution

Dear Student,

We know abfxdx = abfa+b-xdx
I = -π2π2cosx1+exdx .................... (1)
I = -π2π2cosπ2-π2-x1+eπ2-π2-xdx
I = -π2π2cos-x1+e-xdx
I = -π2π2cosx1+1exdx
I = -π2π2excosx1+exdx .................... (2)
Adding (1) and (2)
2I = -π2π2cosx1+exdx + -π2π2excosx1+exdx
2I = -π2π21+excosx1+exdx
2I = -π2π2cosxdx
2I = sinx-π2π2
2I = 1 - (-1)
2I = 2
I = 1
