Solution

(i) During copulation, semen is released into the vagina. The motile sperms swim rapidly, pass through the cervix, enter into the uterus and finally reach the junction of the isthmus and ampulla of the fallopian tube.
(ii) Fertilisation is the process of fusion of a sperm with an ovum which is released by the ovary.
(iii) The stage of pregnancy at which the already fertilized egg adheres to the wall of the uterus is called implantation.
(iv) Gestation period is the average duration of human pregnancy in which embryo or foetus is carried in the uterus (about 9 months).
(v) Vigorous contraction of the uterus at the end of pregnancy causes expulsion/delivery of the foetus. This process of delivery of the foetus (childbirth) is called parturition.
Hence the correct order is:
Fertilisation→Uterus→Implantation→Gestation→Parturition
