Solution

The correct option is C The final population of Verdure would be 10,500 and the final population of Verdara would be 12,000.
Population of Verdure = 10,000
Population of Verdara = 2,000

Absolute increase in Verdure's population = (5/100)*10,000
= 500

Absolute increase in Verdara's population = (500/100)*2,000
= 10,000

Final population of Verdure = Past population + Absolute increase = 10,000 + 500 = 10,500
Final population of Verdara = Past population + Absolute increase = 2,000 + 10,000 = 12,000

So, the final population of Verdara would be more than that of Verdure.
