What are the two types of striated muscle fibres?

The two types of striated muscle fibres are red and white muscle fibres. Red muscle fibres have slow twitch fibres, with the high content of myoglobin and dense capillaries. White fibres make up the fast twitch fibres, with fewer capillaries, mitochondria and myoglobin.
