Solution

part (i): 1 Mark
part (ii): 1 Mark
part (iii): 2 Marks

Number of shares =InvestmentMarket value
=450015=300
(i) Sale proceeds = Rs(300×30)=Rs 9000
(ii) Number of Rs 125 shares he buys
=9000125=72
(iii) Original income = Rs(8100×10×300)
=Rs 240
New income = 12100×100×72=Rs 864
Change in income = Rs(864 - 240)
= Rs 624
