washed clothes dry up more quickly on a hot summer day then a rainy day . why?

​​​​​​We know evaporation of the water from the clothes is related to the temperature and humidity of the surrounding.
In hot days , temperature of surrounding is more and in rainy days temperature of surrounding is less and humidity is more, hence clothes dry more quickly in the hot days than in rainy days.
