The correct option is A v1=v2
We know that the velocity of efflux is given by,
v=2gh
Hence velocity of efflux does not depends upon the nature of the fluid and its density.
now, if the height of water and the mercury orifice is same, and g will alredy be same for both.
Then, v₁ = v₂

Hence, Option (a). is correct.
