we have two balls of same mass.one is a tennis ball and other is an iron ball. when we throw both balls on the same wall with same force,the tennis ball bounces back but the iron ball does not.why?

Solution

  • After throwing on to the wall, tennis ball can easily bounce back since it has less mass and influenced by less gravitational force.
  • But, iron ball has more. So, it experience more gravitational force than the force applied by the wall. Due to the domination of gravitational force, the iron falls down rather than bouncing back in horizontal direction.
