Question

Wet clothes dry more quickly on warm day than on a cold day, humid day. Explain

Open in App
Solution

On a hot and dry day the amount of water vapour present in the atmosphere (humidity) is very less. we know that the rate of evaporation is inversely proportional to the humidity present in the air. therefore if humidity increases then the rate of evaporation will decrease and vice-versa. so on a hot and dry day the wet clothes dry very quickly. Also when it is hot , The Rate of Evaporation Fastens Up
