Question

What are all difference between motion and speed

Open in App
Solution

In physics, motion is a change in position of an object over time. Motion is described in terms of displacement, distance, velocity, acceleration, time, and speed.

Speed, being a scalar quantity, is the rate at which an object covers distance with respect to time. The average speed is the distance with respect to time (a scalar quantity) ratio. Speed is ignorant of direction.
