Solution
Biopesticides:
Biopesticides are living organisms that are sprayed on crop plants to kill pests.
They're utilized to get rid of weeds and pests.
A biopesticide is a biological pest management approach.
Because biopesticides do not pollute the environment, they are preferred over chemical pesticides.
In biopesticides, organisms that are natural predators of pests are introduced into crop fields, but they have no effect on the crops.
The pests are kept in check by these predators.
Biopesticides example:
Various lepidopteran, coleopteran, and dipteran species are infected with
Bacillus thuringiensis,
which causes digestive illnesses.
Through genetic engineering, the toxin from this bacteria has been directly expressed in plants, such as Bt cotton and Bt brinjal.
Trichoderma,
a fungus that grows on plant roots, works as a biocontrol agent against a variety of plant infections.
