Solution

Bones are made up of organic and inorganic material. About two-third part of the bone is made up of inorganic material which includes calcium, phosphorous, and carbonate.

The bones are living when they are in the body of a living organism and once the organism dies the bones become non-living as the cells of the bones die and turn non-functional.
