Carcinogens are any substance which leads to cancer.
Two carcinogens are ionising radiations like X-rays and gamma rays. Malignancy is most familiar as a characterization of cancer. Malignancy is not self-limited in its growth, is capable of invading into adjacent tissues and is capable of spreading into distant tissues.
