Carriers:

1. A person or organism that has been infected with an infectious disease agent but is entirely asymptomatic.
2. Carrier is infected with the disease.
3. Example - HIV (Human Immunodeficiency virus) carrier.

Vectors:

1. The disease-causing agent is transported from an infected person to a healthy person by a vector.
2. Vector is an organism that is disease-free.
3. Example - The malarial parasite is transmitted between people by the female Anopheles mosquito.
