Centrosome is an organelle in the cell which is responsible in the division of cells. A centrosome is a microtubule organizing complex found in the cell, composed solely of proteins. The role of the centrosome to drive the formation of the spindle fibers and other tubulin-based structure (like flagella and cilia). These structures are found near the nuclear envelope.

Chromosomes are highly condensed coiled chromatin fibres that is present inside the nucleus.A chromosome is a unit of inheritance found in the cell, composed of DNA and proteins. The role of the chromosome is to carry genetic information. These structures are found inside the nucleus.
