Solution
Chloroflouro hydrocarbons (CFCs) are the gases that were introduced in 1930 by Thomas Midgley. There are five types of freons and are widely used in refrigerators, air conditioners as well as in cleansing and foaming of solvents.
They have certain effects on the environment as well as humans, the effects are as follows:
The release of chloroflouro hydrocarbons in the atmosphere causes depletion of the ozone layer.
Due to the ozone depletion, harmful ultra violet rays entres the earth's atmosphere and also causes increase in the atmospheric temperature.
They causes certain disease like skin cancer, eye cataract etc.
