Airborne: When an infected individual coughs or sneezes without covering his nose/ mouth in the air, droplets coming out of his nose/ mouth which contain pathogens will infect the healthy person. In this mode of transmission, pathogens are released in the air or directly through droplets.
Waterborne: When the water is contaminated with feces or sewage and is utilised by the people without boiling it, then the pathogens will get transferred into the person. This mode of transmission is through contaminated water.
Direct contact: Directly coming in contact with an unhealthy person can also result in transmission of these diseases.
Vectors are little insects like lice or mosquitoes which act like a taxi service for the microbes. Microbes do not affect vectors itself, they are simply transporters of microbes.
When the vector bites an already infected person, the microbes from the infected blood are transferred onto the vector.
If vectors carrying microbes bite the healthy human, it transfers the pathogen into the bloodstream of the healthy person.
