Cytotoxic T-cells:

  1. Cytotoxic T-cells are white blood cells that are involved in the lysis of foreign molecules entering the body.
  2. White blood cells help to fight infectious foreign particles to form immunity against them.
  3. They identify foreign antigens located on the coat proteins of virus-infected cells and destroy the cell by liberating the cytolytic proteins.
  4. The suppressor T-cells are also important in controlling the actions of various lymphocytes and are critical in the maintenance of the endurance to self-tissues.
  5. Liberation of different lymphokines caused by the delayed hypersensitivity causes T-cells to liaise.
