Open in App
Solution

Exocytosis:

  1. It is the process of expulsion of materials from the cell with the help of a carrier vesicle called an exocytotic vesicle.
  2. The vesicle fuses with the cell membrane and bursts open to release the contents out of the cell.
  3. Exocytosis is important in throwing waste materials out of the cell and in the secretion of cellular products such as digestive enzymes or hormones.
  4. Exocytotic vesicles help release the contents out of the cell during exocytosis.
