What are Forward and Reverse bias conditions of a Diode?

Forward Bias : when P-type is connected to positive terminal and N-type to the negative terminal of the battery then Diode is said to be in Forward Bias.

Reverse Bias : when P-type is connected to negative terminal and N-type to the positive terminal of the battery then Diode is said to be in Reverse Bias.
