​​​​Gametes are the cells used during sexual reproduction to produce a zygote.

Male gametes- are sperms. These are smaller mobile cells that meets up with less mobile amd much larger female gamete.

Female gametes- these are egg or ova.

Both gametes are haploid cells and carry half of the chromosome of parent cell.
